Kính currently serves as the Restaurant Manager at Wyndham Garden Grandworld Phu Quoc. His responsibilities include overseeing Food & Beverage (F&B) operations, managing staff, handling VIP guests, conducting training, maintaining service standards, and driving business and event planning.

Reflecting on his time at KGC, Kính credited the school's highly practical curriculum, modern facilities, and experienced, supportive faculty for his smooth transition into the industry. He particularly highlighted the college's strong industry partnerships, which allow students to gain valuable hands-on experience through internships prior to graduation.

On May 30, 2026, the Student Affairs Department, in collaboration with the Kien Giang College (KGC) Youth Union, organized the 2026 "Ring the Golden Bell" contest at the campus auditorium. The event focused on raising awareness about traffic safety and drug prevention, attracting 120 contestants from various departments across the college.
The contest aimed to enhance legal awareness, equip students with preventive skills against social evils, and foster a culture of safe traffic participation. By utilizing the vibrant, visual, and highly interactive "Ring the Golden Bell" format, the program successfully innovated law propagation and education, helping students elevate their sense of responsibility toward themselves, their families, and the community.
Equipping Students with Vital Life Skills
In her opening remarks, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Kim Quyên, Head of the Student Affairs Department and representative of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that strengthening legal education on traffic safety and drug prevention is a core mission in fostering comprehensive student development. Given the persistent risks surrounding traffic violations and drug-related issues, equipping students with the knowledge to identify and avoid these dangers is highly essential.
The competition featured consecutive rounds that integrated multiple-choice questions, image identification, situational video analyses, and practical legal problem-solving. The core content revolved around two main themes: drug prevention and traffic safety. Demonstrating solid knowledge, quick thinking, and a serious competitive spirit, the contestants delivered an exciting and engaging performance.
Beyond the main rounds, the event featured lifeline rescue segments for contestants and interactive quizzes for the audience. These activities generated an enthusiastic atmosphere, effectively spreading legal knowledge to a broader student body.

From a simple passion for machinery and engines to overcoming initial career challenges, two alumni from the 3rd intake of the CĐ9+ Automotive Technology program at Kien Giang College (KGC) have successfully established themselves in a professional working environment. The inspirational stories of Đặng Văn Hiếu and Trần Vũ Phong serve as a testament to the power of perseverance and continuous learning.
Youthful Enthusiasm on Campus
During their college years, both Hiếu and Phong were familiar faces in extracurricular activities, ranging from volunteer campaigns and enrollment support to automotive club events and industry networking sessions. These experiences did not just teach them a trade—they helped them grow as individuals.
For Hiếu, his most cherished college memories revolve around the dedicated lecturers and the strong camaraderie among students. The hands-on practical sessions, group assignments, and shared determination during exam seasons defined his vibrant youth.
Meanwhile, Phong highly valued KGC’s practical approach to education. Rather than relying solely on textbooks, students had direct access to real engine models, vehicle components, and modern equipment that aligned with current industry trends.
"Our lecturers were always ready to support and clarify any doubts. That gave me the confidence I needed when transitioning into the corporate world," Phong shared.

Stepping into the Workforce with a Solid Foundation
Following graduation, both alumni joined VinFast Trương Thành Phú Quốc as general repair technicians. Working in a high-profile, professional environment, their roles demand high technical precision and strong adaptability as they handle maintenance, repairs, and cross-departmental coordination at the service center.
Reflecting on his transition, Hiếu admitted: "My biggest initial hurdles were a lack of practical experience and high workplace pressure. However, by leveraging the foundation built at college, proactively learning from colleagues, and sharpening my communication and problem-solving skills, I have been able to deliver on my assignments effectively."
For Phong, the challenges lay in adapting to relatively new electric vehicle (EV) technologies and overcoming initial communication barriers. However, his progressive mindset and college training helped him overcome these obstacles.
"From being quite reserved, I can now communicate confidently and have mastered the maintenance workflows for VinFast’s EV lineup," Phong said with pride.

Hiếu emphasizes that diligence, responsibility, and the willingness to learn are the ultimate keys to career success. Offering advice to current KGC students, Phong noted:
"If you are truly passionate about the automotive industry, patience and curiosity are essential. This field goes far beyond just repairs; it offers diverse career paths, including service advising, sales, auto body painting, and automotive electronics. Find your niche and pursue it thoroughly."
