Joining in the vibrant atmosphere of student activities in the early days of the new year, the Youth Union and Student Association of Kien Giang College enthusiastically organized many folk games to celebrate the Party and the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, along with a gathering to commemorate the 76th anniversary of the traditional day of students and the Vietnam Student Association (January 9, 1950 - January 9, 2026) throughout January 31, 2026 at the Auditorium (school campus at 425 Mac Cuu Street).
In the morning, folk games were enthusiastically participated in by a large number of students. The “Tết” fruit platter display competition, themed "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Spring," featured 19 teams showcasing a variety of colors, blending traditional and modern elements, reflecting the beauty of Vietnamese culture and the festive atmosphere of Tet. Alongside this was a tug-of-war competition with over 20 participating teams, a physically demanding activity that also incorporated many folk cultural elements. The teams and cheering audience created a joyful spring atmosphere. In addition, 16 other teams had the opportunity to test their skills in an obstacle course and a painting competition themed "Success on Horseback." Particularly noteworthy was the bamboo pole dance, which attracted over 110 participants who received prizes from the organizers.
In the afternoon, the Youth Union and Student Association of the school organized a gathering to review traditions and commend achievements, reflecting on the past year and bringing joyful and enthusiastic emotions with many meaningful contents such as: Reviewing the traditions of Student Day and the Vietnam Student Association; Commending 14 "Five-Good Students" and 11 “Three-Training Students”at the school level; Commending 12 members of the lottery drawing team with outstanding achievements; Commending 1 group and 20 individuals for actively donating blood and participating in humanitarian blood donation movements in 2025. In addition, the gathering was made even more meaningful by presenting 15 gifts to students to celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.
Looking back over the past year, the Youth Union and Student Association of the university have continuously strived and achieved many outstanding accomplishments. These results stem from the attention of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors, and various units within the university. In particular, the contributions from the faculty's Youth Unions, branch unions, and youth members throughout the university are crucial. We hope that the work of the Youth Union and youth movement, along with the work of the Student Association at the university, will achieve even greater progress and success in the future.
