On April 6, 2026, students from the Tourism Guiding classes (College 9+ batch 5 and College batch 18) at the Faculty of Tourism and Foreign Languages, Kien Giang College (KGC), successfully organized the "An Giang Ethnic Cultural & Culinary Festival." This vibrant event served as the final practical assessment for the Event Management module within the Tourism Guiding curriculum.

The festival vividly recreated the unique cultural spaces of the Kinh, Chăm, Hoa, and Khmer ethnic groups. Attendees were treated to a rich array of experiences, including traditional musical performances, authentic culinary showcases, folk games, and various interactive cultural exchanges.

Through this project-based learning initiative, students were directly involved in every stage of event production—from conceptualization and planning to preparation, execution, and coordination. This hands-on approach allowed students to not only sharpen their event management, communication, and teamwork skills but also to cultivate the professional demeanor essential for a career in the tourism industry.

The success of the program highlights the dynamism, creativity, and sense of responsibility of KGC students. It further reaffirms the effectiveness of the Faculty’s training philosophy, which seamlessly integrates theoretical knowledge with real-world practice.

The Tourism Guiding program at KGC prioritizes practical experience and professional skills, ensuring graduates are fully equipped to meet the rigorous demands of the industry. With a dynamic and practice-oriented learning environment, KGC remains a top choice for young individuals passionate about tourism, cultural exploration, and professional development in the travel and service sectors.
