On the morning of June 22, 2026, the Youth Union and Student Association of Kien Giang College (KGC) solemnly held the launching ceremony for the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign. Guided by the theme "KGC Youth: Creative and Voluntary for the Community" and the motto "Creativity – Efficiency – Safety – Disciplined Growth," the campaign aims to foster youth engagement in local socio-economic development.
The ceremony welcomed distinguished guests, including:
- Mr. Vương Quan Trường, General Director of VI-LIGHT Lighting Solutions and Equipment JSC;
- Mr. Phạm Hòang Bắc, Deputy Head of Digital Insurance Department No. 3 at Bảo Việt Kien Giang;
- Comrade Triệu Thanh Bình, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Government Youth Union; and representatives from various corporate sponsors, alongside KGC's school board, faculty heads, and over a hundred student volunteers.
- Mr. Lê Văn Ngẫu – Director of An Nam Tourist Trading, Service, Tourism and Event Company Limited;
- Ms. Trần Thị Xuân Quyên – Head of Customer Development Department, Saigon Eye Hospital – Kien Giang;
- Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Quyên, Vice Rector of KGC;
Along with teachers who are leaders of various units within the school.
During the event, Comrade Nguyễn Văn Tuấn Vũ, Commander of the Campaign, reported on the extensive preparations and affirmed the team's determination to execute impactful youth projects. These initiatives will focus on rural development, urban civilization, social welfare, and digital transformation through the "Digital Literacy" movement.
Representing the volunteer soldiers, Comrade Phạm Phúc Trường – Team Leader of the Logistics and Communications Team – expressed his determination to leverage the energy of youth, the spirit of solidarity and responsibility; and to be ready to dedicate himself and successfully complete the assigned tasks throughout the campaign.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Nguyễn Thị Hoàng Quyên, Vice Rector of KGC, highly commended the voluntary spirit of the students. She emphasized that the campaign serves as a practical environment for students to hone their resilience, skills, and sense of community responsibility, while urging all teams to maintain absolute safety and strict discipline throughout their journey.
The 2026 campaign will take place from July 1 to July 10, 2026, in Tay Yen Campaign Site. A key highlight of this year's launching ceremony was the significant resource mobilization from corporate partners and individuals.
The ceremony also marked the official debut of the three core volunteer task forces: the Logistics & Communications Team, the Digital Transformation & Children's Activities Team, and the Technical & Landscape Team.
The successful launch reflects the high determination of KGC's youth to promote solidarity, creativity, and compassion, leaving a beautiful footprint of youth-led community service in the region.
