To foster the mental well-being and recharge the energy of faculty and staff after an active and dedicated academic year, the Grassroots Trade Union of Kien Giang College (KGC), in collaboration with Saigontourist Travel Service Company (Can Tho Branch), successfully organized the Summer 2026 retreat themed "Misty Da Lat". The 3-day, 3-night journey took place from July 26 to July 29, 2026, along the Rach Gia – Da Lat – Rach Gia route.
The delegation comprised 52 participants, including 29 faculty members and staff alongside 23 family members. The group was led by Mr. Nguyen Dong Hai, Vice Rector of the College, serving as Head of the Delegation, and Ms. Trinh Thi Bich Thuy, President of the Grassroots Trade Union, serving as Deputy Head.
A Vibrant Journey Through the City of Thousands of Flowers
During their three-day stay in Da Lat, participants created memorable moments through a diverse series of nature sightseeing, cultural exploration, and entertainment activities:

Day 1 – Immersed in Nature and Cultural Spaces: The journey began with a serene sunrise at the misty Cau Dat Tea Hill, followed by exploring refined Japanese architecture at Que Garden and interacting with friendly dogs at Puppy Farm. In the afternoon, members experienced the vivid Jurassic world along with various unique check-in spots at Langbiang Land. The first day concluded with a fresh local vegetable buffet dinner and a warm cultural exchange showcasing the rich heritage of the Central Highlands Gong Culture space.

Day 2 – Capturing Beautiful Moments & An Exhilarating Gala Night: The delegation visited iconic local landmarks, including the Artichoke Flower and Wild Sunflower monuments at Lam Vien Square, immersed themselves in vibrant flower fields at Fresh Garden, and relaxed by the picturesque lake at Happy Hill. Members also had the opportunity to shop for regional specialties as gifts for loved ones.
- Highlight of the Trip: The Gala Dinner on the evening of July 28 took place in a formal, warm, and highly energetic atmosphere. In-house musical performances, team-building group games, and surprise souvenir gifts brought joyful laughter to every participant.
- Day 3 – Peaceful Pilgrimage and Safe Return: Before bidding farewell to the City of Thousands of Flowers, the delegation visited the tranquil Linh An Pagoda to offer prayers for peace and good fortune. Following lunch en route, the group returned safely to Rach Gia on the evening of the same day, marking a complete and meaningful journey.
Spreading Positive Energy for the New Academic Year
The Summer 2026 retreat concluded with great success, ensuring absolute safety, a well-structured itinerary, cost efficiency, and maximum effectiveness.
More than just a relaxing getaway, the trip served as a meaningful bridge strengthening family bonds and reinforcing solidarity within the institution's collective. The cherished memories and positive energy gained from the "Misty Da Lat" journey will serve as a strong motivation for all faculty, staff, and employees of Kien Giang College as they enter the new academic year with renewed enthusiasm and a determination to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks.
