Mr. Hứa Hậu Giang, an alumnus of the Electronics and Telecommunications (batch 9A), Kien Giang College (KGC) was more than just an educational institution - it was the launchpad that equipped him with both core knowledge and leadership resilience.
Leadership Forged on Campus
During his time at KGC, Giang was far from a conventional student. He was a dynamic face in various campus clubs and youth teams. The rigorous yet inspiring academic environment of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering allowed him to hone his coordination and leadership skills early on.
"The learning environment at KGC is highly practical, and the facilities fully support student research," Giang recalled. "In particular, the dedication and open-mindedness of the lecturers inspired me greatly, shaping my professional work style today."
Rising Through the Ranks at FPT
Upon graduation, Giang joined FPT Telecom Kien Giang, one of Vietnam’s leading telecommunications firms. Starting as a standard sales representative, his relentless efforts and resilience propelled him to the position of Sales Manager.
His career milestones include:
- Securing a spot among the Top 50 Outstanding Employees at FPT Telecom.
- Leading his sales team to surpass all key performance indicators (KPIs).
For Giang, the ultimate challenge was never meeting sales targets, but rather "breaking personal boundaries" to embrace innovative thinking when tackling new tasks.

Drawing from his management experience, Giang emphasizes that technical expertise is merely a prerequisite. To lead effectively, he relies heavily on interpersonal communication, problem-solving, and the systematic thinking skills developed during his college years.

A Message to the Next Generation
Offering advice to current students, Giang shared: "Do not just study for a degree; study to understand the core of the problem and continuously sharpen your practical skills. A professional attitude and a willingness to learn will take you further than any credential."
He also expressed hope that Kien Giang College will continue to strengthen ties with enterprises, providing students with early, real-world business exposure.
