Starting as a Hospitality Management student at Kien Giang College (KGC), Nguyễn Thị Diễm Trinh has steadily proven her capabilities at Regent Phu Quoc—one of the premier luxury resorts on “Pearl Island”.

Currently serving as Dim Sum Chef at Rice Market, Diễm Trinh oversees the preparation of authentic Dim Sum and specialized A La Carte menus for both domestic and international guests. Behind this achievement lies a journey that began with hands-on training, hours spent in campus kitchens, and relentless practice during her student years.

Reflecting on her time at KGC, Diễm Trinh shared that the curriculum at the Faculty of Tourism & Foreign Languages extends far beyond classroom theory. By emphasizing practical experience, the program equips students with early real-world exposure. Standard service procedures, professional skills, and workplace etiquette—tailored to 4- and 5-star industry standards—provided her with a solid foundation to confidently step into an international environment.

"What I treasure most is the dedication of my lecturers. They didn't just impart knowledge; they constantly walked alongside us, offering encouragement and inspiration throughout our career path," Diễm Trinh shared.

In May 2019, Diễm Trinh began her internship at InterContinental Phu Quoc. Driven by a strong eagerness to learn and continuous dedication, she advanced from an intern to Commis Chef, Demi Chef, and ultimately Dim Sum Chef in just over three years.
