On May 30, 2026, the Student Affairs Department, in collaboration with the Kien Giang College (KGC) Youth Union, organized the 2026 "Ring the Golden Bell" contest at the campus auditorium. The event focused on raising awareness about traffic safety and drug prevention, attracting 120 contestants from various departments across the college.

The contest aimed to enhance legal awareness, equip students with preventive skills against social evils, and foster a culture of safe traffic participation. By utilizing the vibrant, visual, and highly interactive "Ring the Golden Bell" format, the program successfully innovated law propagation and education, helping students elevate their sense of responsibility toward themselves, their families, and the community.


Equipping Students with Vital Life Skills
In her opening remarks, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Kim Quyên, Head of the Student Affairs Department and representative of the Organizing Committee, emphasized that strengthening legal education on traffic safety and drug prevention is a core mission in fostering comprehensive student development. Given the persistent risks surrounding traffic violations and drug-related issues, equipping students with the knowledge to identify and avoid these dangers is highly essential.

The competition featured consecutive rounds that integrated multiple-choice questions, image identification, situational video analyses, and practical legal problem-solving. The core content revolved around two main themes: drug prevention and traffic safety. Demonstrating solid knowledge, quick thinking, and a serious competitive spirit, the contestants delivered an exciting and engaging performance.
Beyond the main rounds, the event featured lifeline rescue segments for contestants and interactive quizzes for the audience. These activities generated an enthusiastic atmosphere, effectively spreading legal knowledge to a broader student body.

At the conclusion of the contest, the Organizing Committee presented 13 awards to outstanding participants:
